Tim Carlos Since 2021

Tim is a piano, composition, music theory, and trombone teacher here at CMC. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in Music Composition at Butler University, while performing trombone in the Butler Symphony Orchestra and Butler Wind Ensemble. He then received his Master of Music degree in Film Music Composition at UNC School of the Arts. He has played piano for over 15 years.
Tim is primarily a video game and film composer who has scored works from around the globe. In 2020, he won the Asian Game Audio Summit scoring contest and his piece was recorded by the Budapest Scoring orchestra. His music is set to appear in multiple upcoming indie games including Esperia: Uprising of the Scarlet Witch and Everafter Falls for the Nintendo Switch. He has also written music accompanying films on television, streaming, and at festivals including Atlanta Film Festival, New Orleans Film Festival, RiverRun International Film Festival, and Indie Grits Film Festival.
